Big ED is no more. After numerous creative differences,
the band has decided to go it's separate ways.
"These guys suck" lead guitarist/songwriter Randy
"Pops" Massey said about his former band mates. "They
couldn't play lotto with a dollar and six numbers." Randy plans to
release an acoustic album in July and to "dedicate more time to my
garden" this summer.
Dr.
Phil "Master P" Jacobs had had enough too. "Could
we play any slower?" he asked sarcastically. "Bunch of sissies."
But today is definitely yesterday's tomorrow for The Captain. He's currently
working on his new book "I'm ok. You're ugly."
Mike "Teen Appeal" D. has started his own hip-hop
band. He was recently quoted in Tiger Beat magazine as saying "What
up cuz? It's tha Mike D-O-double Gizzle in the hizzle. Send me your trickass
lyrics and I'll traaanslate it from the shizzle to da shiznot and lay
down some fine ass tracks, know what I'm sayin?" No we don't Mike,
but good luck.
Matt
"John Bonham" Getzewich has gone back to Culinary
School. "Cooking is what I was born to do. Well that, and golfing.
This band thing was just in the way. They were all just anchors holding
me to the bottom of the sea of mediocrity." Matt currently has a
cooking show with his wife Gina on MNN Channel 56 in New York called "Let's
get Cookin'!"
Cliff "There's a band behind me?" Cronan has decided
to pursue his solo career. "To be honest with you, I never even knew
there was a band behind me. I bumped into Randy on stage at Corner Pocket
one night and it scared the shit out of me!! I was like, 'Dude, what are
you doing here?'" He plans to release an album of ballads by Christmas
entitled "Love Songs - A Lifetime of Aching" "I'm dedicating
it to all the bitches" he said.
Jimmy "What's up F**kers?" D. plans on keeping the
Big ED name alive. "At the end there, I was the only one showing
up for practices. Big ED quit with a bunch of commitments to play places
and I plan on honoring those commitments." When asked how he plans
to do that he was quoted as saying, "What do mean, how am I going
to do it? I'm Jimmy D bitch!!"
Laurel "Everybody get naked" Caprio plans on using
the Big ED name for merchandising. "I'm knee-deep in Big ED thongs
over here!" she was quoted as saying. Laurel wisely had Big ED sign
all merchandising/song rights over to her at a drunken Toad's show one
night. "I kept telling them to copyright those songs. Maybe now they'll
listen!"
The band would like to thank everybody who supported them and this website.
