Fa
la la la Freakin' La!!! The holidays are upon us kids, and the Big
ED machine is getting stronger by the minute. We just came off 2 REALLY
strong shows, and the momentum doesn't seem to be waning...A very
Special thanks to the Bad Boys of Megahertz
for inviting us to their Christmas Show, and very special thanks to
Mark Cook (the owner of Cooks)
for having us and treating us (along with his awesome staff) like
gold. We'll definitely be back there making some noise in 2005...ULTRARADIO's
HARD DRIVE LIVE, are you kidding me???? What an awesome
time!!! Not only were the Bands incredible (CO2-
ripped it up a couple extra notches as always, MOB
- A TRUE party band, that are quickly becoming one of Big ED's all-time
favorite bands, and of course NASTY
Fuckin' DISASTER - with special guest Herman Von Moe -
We honestly can't say enough about these guys - THEY ARE OUR TRUE
BROTHERS OF METAL!!!) but the people who showed up..just amazing ..
Richie and Sue - what can we say, they are THE ABSOLUTE COOLEST COUPLE
EVER ..WE LOVE YOU GUYS!!! Adam Kristoferson, who recently turned
21 (Happy Birthday Brother!!) and we know we'll be hearing a lot from
him in the future. The Brothers' Winston.com (especially the rare
appearance of Mike "Big Daddy" Winston!!!)..And the whole
UltraRadio.com crew, who've been supporting us from day one..YOU GUYS
FUCKIN' ROCK!!!!! A special shout-out goes to the Big ED photographer
extraordinare, Lisa, for completing her first semester of school with
Straight A's and still having the time to get wasted with us ..Keep
up the good work!! Keith & Wander (RedChinaBlue.com)
for trekking all the way from the valley to show support and honestly,
the list goes on and on! We truly appreciate everyone's support, and
we hope to never let you guys down...On a personal note, R.I.P. Arthur
"Butch" Littlefield, I'll miss you my friend. Now, onto
the business of rocking..Next Thursday the 30th, Big ED has been invited
to play a pre-New Years Eve Bash at TOAD's, with our buddies and yours..
MEGAHERTZ!!!! The Line-up consists of Fogg, Disposable Heroes (Metallica
tribute band), Smack7 (these guys rock!), The Mighty MEGAHERTZ, and
yours truly!! The show is FREE for the 21 and older crowd, and reduced
admission for the under 21 friends/fans (that means you North Branford
and East Haven High Schools!!) ..rumor has it that Mike Onofrio (EHHS
Wrestler extraordinare) will be on hand, so ladies..pretty yourselves
up..hehheh...Then the very next day ..Big ED's NEW YEAR BASH @ Crazy
Joes!!! This should be another out of control time..We
have to honestly say, whenever we play a show with the boys of Without
Ray (Mike D's favorite band!) the crowd response is incredible!!
These guys are as solid as solid gets, and we couldn't be happier
to share the stage with 'em. New Year's WILL come in with a BANG this
year and that's a Big ED New Year's Guarantee!!! So please, have a
safe holiday and we'll see you at the shows!! Up the EDs!!

Guitars,
Bars and Christmas Stars??? What a week for Big ED...1st and foremost,
a MAJOR THANK YOU goes out to Mike Z. (100Demons.com)
@ Spindrift Studios for recording and mixing "Christmas
Hangover" (In 2 days!!!) so
it can be rushed onto a compilation disc (Being put together by DJSteve
of UltraRadio.com and Dance-off fame) that'll be sent to our troops
in Iraq...Whatever your stance on the war is, ALWAYS SUPPORT THE TROOPS,
bottom line. Big ED invaded the valley and had an excellent time thanks
to Joe G. & Staff at Crazy Joe's!! Thanks to everyone who came
and supported, and a very special thanks to the guys in Without
Ray, who not only made the gig with 1 days notice, but
kicked major ass while doing so...Some of the bad boys of MegaHertz
were on hand as well to support, This is a band you HAVE to see..We'll
be back in the Valley with these guys on Dec 17th @ Cooks
Cafe for their annual Xmas Show and once again on Dec 30th
@ Toad's for their big end of the year metal shin-dig..WooHoo!! After
years of creating new songs and not missing 1 gig, Randy's Les Paul
suffered a major injury when the headstock was snapped off the neck
accidentally..So if anyone knows where he can find a replacement neck
or another 91' standard, PLEASE LET HIM KNOW!! Ron Zombie came close
to winning the CCW heavyweight Championship this past weekend, but
was disqualified for inadvertently hitting the ref...better luck next
time Zombo! On a serious note, a great friend (and major contributor
to all things Big ED) has published a book about the horrors and everyday
dealings of watching someone close to his heart suffer and then lose
her battle with cancer..This book will, in our opinion, put things
into perspective, or at least make you more aware of taking things
for granted. The link is www.EasyToLoveImpossibleToForget.com
..We'd really appreciate your support of the book..it's the most heartfelt
book you'll ever read...So remember, Life's just a 1 shot deal..Better

our 1st Corner Pocket gig with the new owners..it was a major success
...and honestly, 3 Thank You's isn't enough...so here's a 4th..Thank
You..hehheh..there, that's better. PLAY
Magazine was on hand to capture most of the magic, while
CO2 rocked and UltraRadio.com's DJSteve stole the show..look for more
interaction with this strapping young fellow (he also does a ripping
acoustic version of Twinkie, mind you)..Now, this very week, YES...this
one, right now, Big ED is back in the studio, to FINISH up work on
the forthcoming CD..YAY!!!..and not only will the CD be finished,
but the next Christmas classic "Christmas Hangover" will
be officially ready for airplay...WooF'nHoo!! We also embark on Big
ED's "Valley of the Murf Tour"!! We'll be playin' (For the
1st time mind you) 2 shows in Naugatuck..The 1st one will be at Crazy
Joe's!!!
Trust me this guy is really fuckin' crazy, so crazy in fact,
we're bringin' Big
ED's Babe of the Month Contest there for the evening ..try
to make this one if possible!!! Our 2nd, "Valley
of the Murf Tour" show is with our old buddies and
metal maniacs (No..Not Nasty Disaster!!) Megahertz!! These guys have
been gracious enough to invite us to play their Christmas Show with
them at Cook's
Cafe and we couldn't be more honored...Speaking of
Megahertz, we would like to thank all of the local bands, who've come
out to support us at every show...As long as we all stick together,
the music will never be silenced..And finally, we have a HUGE ALL
STAR CHRISTMAS SHOW LINE-UP planned for Dec. 22nd at the place it
all began..The Alchemy..it'll be Big ED, CO2, MOB, Wax Palace and
our ABSOLUTELY, BAR NONE, HANDS DOWN FAVORITES....NASTY DISASTER!!
Christmas is coming early kids!!! Til' next time, take care of yourselves
and each...oh wait...nope..scratch that one..UP THE MOTHERFUCKIN'

Hey
Kids....We're back!! Big ED will be playing LIVE this Friday the 19th
at our old stomping grounds, The Corner Pocket!! There's a new sheriff
in town (or owner) at the Pocket and we'll be sure to show him the
love Big ED likes to share amongst our friends, family, and fans.
It'll be our 1st show in a couple of weeks and we couldn't be more
pumped!! We have 2 VERY SPECIAL guests on this bill with us...1st,
DJSteve (Listen to him on UltraRadio.com from 8am to 11am Mon-Weds
and Fridays..he's freakin' hysterical!!) who will be opening up the
show (And by all counts is one of the most talented musicians we've
EVER come across!) and we're sure by night's end, will be having a
dance-off (It's now becoming a tradition at every Big ED show he comes
to!!) with our very own Mike D.! These dance-offs have been known
to garner admiration from fellow gents, and drive any lady in the
tri-state area completely beserk...You have to see it for yourself
to believe it! Then after Big ED leaves the stage, back by popular
demand ....CO2!!!!!!! CO2 will close out the evening with a searing
set of soon to be rock classics!!! This show is a prelude to the Christmas
Show coming up on Dec. 22nd with Big ED/CO2/Nasty Disaster/MOB &
Wax Palace at UltraRadio's Hard Drive Live at the Alchemy (Big EDitor's
note - DJSteve will be doing the sound that night...WooHoo!!) so come
and take just a little taste of what's to come...Speaking of UltraRadio.com,
"Bystander Suicide" is now in regular rotation on there,
so feel free to log on and request it.....Tell them " I WANT
MY BIG ED!! "... Special thanks to DJ Gina Martini (UltraRadio.com
- Weds & Fri nights 7-11pm) for all the MAJOR promotion she's
been giving Big ED and quite frankly all of the local bands....The
Revolution Begins!! And on a final note, Another Special Thanks goes
out to our manager, Laurel and her husband Mike for an awesome band
dinner (Steaks, potatoes, cornbread, salad, etc...) and for putting
up with us the way they do....you guys rock!!! More shows are in the
works, so check back frequently for updates ..... NNNNNEEEEEEEEEIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIILLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A
Happy Halloween it was!! The Babe of the Month / Halloween Bash went
off without a hitch...The Boys in CO2 ran through a ripping set to
start the party (Thanks guys!..You Rock), the costumes were plentiful,
and the booze was flowing ohh so smoothly...so many good friends and
peers (INK, 6 Second Crush, etc) were on-hand to support and celebrate
partying and Free Candy (In this case, Eye Candy..hehheh) Our fearless
frontman "The WildChild" did an early
morning interview on KC101 to promote the show, and well,
the rest is history...High points of the evening included Ultraradio's
DJSteve picking up the Ax to do a ripping solo for the Babe of the
Month theme, Kate capturing the Babe
of the Month Title (Congrats Kate!!!), Breakdancing and
cartwheels competitions on the asphalt in the parking lot at 3 AM
after the show, Special guest appearances by Billy, GUUUUUZZZZEEEETTTTTIII
and of course NEEEEIIILLLLLL!!, Jimmy D sleeping through and missing
the show, and Randy thinking (In a drunken stupor mind you) it was
a good idea to put Mike D on his shoulders during "Song"
(look at the pics
to see how that went..hehheh)..All in all, 7 thumbs up and we
thank everyone for supporting... The next night was no sloucher either,
Brian & Whitney Bradshaw (Who had the best costumes we've ever
seen!) threw a kick ass Shindig and all of Big ED (Minus AJ Fros who
was conspicuous by his absence) attended...We learned of DARK secrets
Mike D. doesn't want to share with the world and that NO bottle of
Polish is safe when Big ED is around...A MAJOR CONGRATULATIONS goes
out to Ron & Angela Zombie for getting engaged on Halloween!!
Ron, you deserve Angela and Angela, you deserve better..Hi-Oh!! Seriously,
We love you guys and couldn't be happier that's it's finally official
(Zombie was always slow!!). Best of luck to these 2 Crazy kids!!....It's
gonna be a quiet month for Big ED gig-wise, but we'll be in the studio
putting the finishing touches on our 1st Studio CD... recording the
soon-to-be Christmas Classic .."Christmas Hangover" and
receiving airplay for "Bystander
Suicide" on Ultraradio.com (So make sure you log on
and request us!!) ..Speaking of Ultraradio, our next show (as of right
now) is gonna be a Christmas show @ Alchemy Dec. 22 with an ALL STAR
line-up including yours truly, Big ED, CO2, MOB, and our favorite
band in the world, Nasty Disaster!!! We've said this before, but you
REALLY AND TRULY DO NOT WANT TO MISS THIS ONE!!! FREE ADMISSION to
a show with a line-up like this is a RARITY!! So please come down
for a night of FREE Entertainment and a night of soon-to-be Classic
Memories!! As always, Keep on Rockin' in the Freeworld and go out
and VOTE today!! |

News,
News, News.....Let's see...hmmm....1st and foremost, a MAJOR thanks
to everyone who stuck it out at Toad's
place, it was a hectic night with lots of drama, a stellar
performance from our new backbone AJ
Fros, SHOTS with KC101's Vinnie
Penn, and a new
found friendship with Green Inside... A major shout out
to Mr. Penn (who apparently has a sound byte going around with some
damaging words about him from a member of Big ED!!!!...heehee...it's
supposed to be hysterical, at least according to Vinnie) Mary, Ivan,
Joe, etc... for making us feel right at home, when we did a surprise
"pop-in" on the day of the show....Now, Mike D's Huge 30th
surprise B-day party was a MAJOR success!! Suzie Q worked her ass
off preparing and hostessing this gala event and deserves Goddess
status after this one...In the tradition of Big ED parties, it had
everything...great food, A gigantic bonfire (In which the Wildchild
and Master P did some walking on) , acoustic jams, and just an awesome
crowd of friends and family.. And 2 Half Kegs, 8 to 10 Bottles of
Booze (at least 3 were Polish...yummy) and 2 bottles of wine later,
the party came to an end...Mike D celebrated the end of his bash by
passing out on his lawn in a pile of his own vomit, Got Big ED indeed!!
Halloween's coming, and we all know what that means ...Free candy
from strangers and Big ED's "Babe of the Month / Halloween Bash"!!!
This is gonna be one for the books ... there's gonna be costume prizes,
great music, and plenty of mayhem to go along... We hear that the
bad boys from CO2
are gonna be in the house to begin the festivities. So get your costume's
ready and prepare your livers!!!!! It's gonna be one HELL of a celebration!!
Until Friday....Up the ED's & NEEEEEEEEIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIILLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

THE
SEARCH IS OVER!!!!!!!! Big ED has found their new drummer....YAY!!!!!!!!!!
Anthony"AJ
Fros" Frosolone is the new backbone of Big ED. Early
on, Anthony had been involved in musical projects with Ron Zombie
& Randy and is also the original Nasty Disaster drummer. He grew
up in the ghettos of Northford, alongside his new band mates: Mike
D., Matty "John Bonham" Getzewich, The Wildchild, and even
former Big ED sticksman, Master P. Big ED members were quoted as saying
"Anthony was the obvious choice. We all know him, we're all friends
with him, and he's a kick ass drummer!!" Not to mention, his
teacher Patti (Who is a drumming monster mind you!!) was also the
one that gave us Master P., so you know this guys no slouch. Anthony's
a great personality and fit right in within the first few seconds
of practice ... Big ED is back baby!!! Now the Big ED Upper Brass
have been toying with a few ideas for the website. We're contemplating
a Big EDitorial section, where friends, fans, band members and quite
frankly anyone can speak their mind about The Band, Music, Politics,
Today's/Yesterdays issues, Sex, or ANYTHING that's on your mind. If
you're interested in being a Big ED special guest Editor or for short,
A Special EDitor..hehheh..E-mail us at the site or leave a message
on the message board. We're also debating on making a section with
photos and bios of everybody that uses the message board, This way
you can see a photo of the people who you are actually talking to
everyday and get a little background on them. If you would like to
be included in this, drop us an e-mail and send us a picture with
a little info about yourself (name, age, likes/dislikes, favorite
bands, whether you think Ron Zombie is gay or not, stuff like that.)
Or if there is a picture of yourself that you really like from one
of the shows, let us know and we'll use that. So let your voices be
heard and leave us some damn feedback..hehheh...Now onto the Business
of Rocking!!!! Big ED has released their 1st single "Bystander
Suicide" on the MySpace.com website. While there,
feel free to register your own space FOR FREE and become our "friend"...This
Fri. the 15th,Toad's Place & KC101 present the Rock & Register
Show featuring: Green Inside & Big ED!! This show is gonna be
ENORMOUS!!!!! Grab tix from us or print 'em up here ...do what you
have to do to be there, it's gonna rock. We''ll be on the air live
with KC101's Vinnie and Mary morning show Friday October 15th between
9-10 AM so make sure you tune in for that! And last but definitely
not least, The Big ED Babe of the Month 7/Halloween Bash on Fri. Oct.
29th is quickly coming upon us, so get those costumes ready kids...hehheh..But
more on that next week. Until Toad's Place on Friday ..Up the ED's!
We love you all!!!

It's
the end of an era...which means a new one begins! But first let's
recap the last few weeks..Lucky Penny 2 opened to a packed house (Mostly
Big ED Heads..hehheh) and received 2nd place out of 60+ movies, not
to shabby for our fearless frontman's 2nd outing as a director. We'd
like to thank everyone who came out and a special thanks to Ultraradio.com
for their continuous support of the movie and everything Big ED....Master
P. is gone, but not forgotten..you'll be able to hear our last recordings
with him on the forthcoming Big ED CD due out in a month or so...We'll
miss you brutha, good luck with everything in life .... Speaking of
Master P., we had our last show with him @ The Corner Pocket and once
again proved the "Alcohol Driven, Rock & Roll Livin' "
dream is still alive. Nasty Disaster began the festivities (With Master
P. on the drums) and kept metal alive 1 more night, The Boys in CO2
came down (on a few hours notice mind you) and totally fuckin' rocked..This
band you HAVE to support..the songs, the sound, you'll be hearing
alot from these guys...Then We took the stage..hehheh...(probably
more drunk than we should've been!!) and celebrated and played our
final set with Master P....it was an emotional and cake filled set..but
he definitely went out in Big ED style..Then to close the festivities
Without Ray (God Bless these guys for playing on a cake filled stage)
ripped through an awesome set of covers and had everyone singing along...All
in all, it was an awesome night, and we thank everyone who supported...Now
..A NEW ERA begins...the search for a new drummer continues, we have
a few very talented people lined up and ready for try-outs, so the
search shouldn't be much longer..With the new drummer, comes new dedication
to the music, our fans and most of all each other..we WON'T let you
guys down because, to quote the WildChild "Big ED Folk are the
best kind of Folk" and he couldn't have said it better...With
the depature of Master P, we also have the departure of Ask
Dr. Phil? But
we
are lucky enough to have the advice
colum stylings of Dear
Erica. Ask her questions about anything. Babe
of the Month is coming!!! The 7th installment of BOTM will coincide
with our 1st annual Big ED Halloween Bash at Side St.Grille Fri. Oct
29th, so get your costumes ready..there's gonna be a few contests
and LOTS of suprises,so clear your calendar...And
last but not least, NNNNNNNNEEEEEEEEEEEEIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIILLLLLLLLL!!!!!!!!!!!
Up the Mother Fuckin' ED's!!!!! |

and hope you will enjoy it.... Our Fearless Frontman is going to be

by a HUGE afterparty down at the Corner Pocket..you don't want to
miss either of 'em..hehheh..Speaking of the Pocket ....A week from
Fri...the 24th to be exact, Big ED will be hosting a night of FUCKIN'
AWESOME music...We have the bad boys from Nasty
Disaster (with Master P filling in on drums), Rage against
the Machine cover band Fistful of Steel, and Mike D's favorite band

This
week's news (much like the news on TV) deals with good and bad....What
would you like to hear (read) first? Hmmmm ...We'll take that as the
bad 1st then...After much debate, Master P. aka Capt. Phil Jacobs
aka Dr. Phil has decided to finish up the next 2 shows and call it
quits from Big ED for now ... Phil is an EXTRAORDINARY drummer, a
great friend, and most of all OUR Brother ..His ENORMOUS contributions
to Big ED will be greatly missed as will he and everything he brought
on and off the stage....part of the good news is, HE is in the studio
with us as we speak, so you'll be able to hear him on the untitled
as of yet Big ED EP that should be dropping within a month or so ...and
kids, let me tell you, from the sounds of the rough mix so far ..THIS
CD IS GONNA ROCK !!!!!!!! We're in the process of trying out drummers
now. Master P. is a tough act to follow, so when we do decide on one,
please show him as much love as you showed Phil, we'll pick a good
one, as not to let you down... If you happen to be a drummer and are
interested in trying out, E-mail the website or call the # located
on the contact page...NOW
onto nothing but GOOD news..we promise ..Big ED is ALL OVER PLAY Magazine
this week..from the Index (there's a nice pic of the 3 John Bonham's)
To page 33 (Awesome
Big ED article) To our Fearless Frontman's own write
up on his new movie "Lucky
Penny 2" which will be premiering at FilmFest
New Haven SAT.
the 18th at the York SQ Cinema at 9:30pm, so please come and show
support. A very special thanks to Jon
Cooper for doing a KICK-ASS job on everything Big ED this
week in PLAY..This guy ROCKS !!!!!! Big ED will also be going back
to where it all started, next Weds.Sept 15th HARD DRIVE LIVE at the
Alchemy!! This show is gonna be a major party, much in part to all
the support of the Ultraradio.com
family and friends. It's also 1 of the LAST times you'll see the
original
Big ED line-up, so please come out and support and see
what started it all and let's give Master P the send off he truly
deserves.... So until then..we'll see you at the movies (hint hint
..Cliff's movie next Sat...hehheh) UP THE FUCKIN' ED'S !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

all we'll say about that, but just know Neil is a true ROCK

not 1 but 2 strings, the show sounded tight and the crowd was
awesome!!!! Kevin the Bartender rocks!! After the show, we went
to the Big ED stomping grounds. Corner Pocket and as always
had a blast. Then we went to the Athenian Diner up the street

1 hell of a good vibe ...but no, no, no ..it didn't end there....What
do 6 West Haven police cruisers, drunken wagon racing, Capt.
America speedos, about 20 to 30 Big ED friends, and LOTS of
alcohol have in common ?? AFTERPARTY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Much of
it is a blur, but let's just say..Giddy Up!! Hehheh...Now...

to turn heads and make ears bleed (INKmusic.net

their cocks out and sounded friggin' awesome in the process.
Thanks again Gonz, Richi, Steve and all the INKheads who came
out to party on Friday, it was a blast!! Big (ED) weekend
coming up ... Toad's and Corner Pocket, back to back, which
means double the party, double the good times ... Toad's is

here)... Corner Pocket is gonna rock because last
time we played with the fine gents in Red

Thanks
to everybody that came to the Pocket on Friday! Thanks to George
from Megahertz for doing the sound .... Neil as always is GOD
and Megahertz kicked ass ... the
pix are up if you want to check 'em out ... Our Friday
the 13th Playbook show is shaping up to be another classic with
the boys in Without
Ray ... The interesting thing about this show is
..Admission is $5 to get in, or $25 to get in AND drink for
FREE all night (I think it's a $1 extra per top shelf item though)!!
What a deal!!! That's probably one of the coolest ideas we've
come across considering we partake in a beverage every once
in a while..hehheh..glug,glug,glug..Anyway, a little down the
road on the 20th we'll be hosting our Babe
of the Month 6 Contest at Side St (We love Bob!!)
but NOW the boys in INK
will be there celebrating the release of their CD "BRETHREN"
and we hear through the grapevine, it'll knock you on your ass!!!
So rest up kiddies, lots of great times & shows coming up
... did someone say TOAD's on the 27th?? Up the ED's!! |

Weekends
just don't get any crazier than this one kids!!! Big ED's Land
& Sea Tour was a smashing success.. Major worship goes out
to a few key people that really made it come together ... Laurel
& Mike deserve "Hardwork and Patience awards"
for the extreme amount of work both before/during and after
the bus trip ...you guys are a major reason Big ED is as successful
as we are, and words could never describe how much you mean
to us ... Lisa the photographer, we don't know how you do it,
but the pictures just keep getting better and better, while
the times are getting crazier and crazier .. to quote Dubbage
"You're a Goddess with a camera" a million thanks
wouldn't be enough ... NEIL!!!!!!!!!! My god, all we can say
is.. Dude!! Neil took it upon himself to make the Big ED army
uniform .... literally!!! Like a General leading his troops
into a battle (of the bands no less..hehheh) Neil selflessly
donated Big ED shirts (They're fuckin' awesome!) to everyone
aboard to make sure the Army was well dressed as well as represented..Dude...Dude!!!!
Jimmy D. for waking up from his drunken stupor to announce us...what's
up fucker's indeed .. Our bus driver for having the patience
of a Saint, when a normal man would've caved, Killer Kev for
making an extremely rare appearance ...Ron Zombie for cleaning
up the scum....and to the other 50+ maniacs that made it a most
memorable trip. And yes, like many trips before, they're were
a few bad seeds that thankfully didn't ruin the trip for everyone.
They'll NEVER be allowed on a Big ED trip again and we'll just
leave it at that ... Now you would think after 12hrs of partying,
members of Big ED would catch up on some sleep ...HELL NO!!!!
We're Big ED bitch! Master P and Randy decided to hit the Project
Revolution Tour at the Meadows just hours after the Bus Trip
ended ... Let's just say ..WOW!! Our good friends Sarah &
Michelle (Who unfortunately had to miss the Bus Trip) were there
promoting Big ED and getting their drink on .. After the show,
they decided to hook up with our fearless frontman "The
Wildchild" for some libations with Neil...Let's just say
.. WOW Again..hehheh .. And still AFTER THAT, we managed to
commandeer a sea vessel (can't really go into details here unfortunately
;-) ), and go swimming at the beach, so all in all a 4 star
weekend was had by most... The antics won't however end there
my friends, because This Fri. 8/6 we will be playing the Corner
Pocket with our very good friends Megahertz (These guys sooooo
rock!!) This show promises to be insanity at it's best ....
just keep an eye out for Neil, he's extremely dangerous when
working the bar!!! Thanks again to everybody who's shown us
so much love this weekend, and we'll see you all Friday!!!

I
hate to start off the news the same way but....WOW!!!!!!! The
Babe of the Month 5 contest was extremely successful and we
had a blast!! So many old and new friends were there, and I
think almost everybody was lit ... hehheh. Speaking of old friends,
Alonso kicked off the festivities with his own brand of "SPAM"
humor (Lots of it directed towards members of Big ED and JeffWinston.com)
and we absolutely loved it ... Then Kev and the crew from Drunks.com
(You have to see this website!! Big ED
is the picture of the week!) came down to partake in the BOTM
5 contest and helped make it the memorable evening it was (Our
BOTM pics will be up by Wednesday, but Drunks
has their pics up right now...go check 'em out!!)..
There was some controversy of who had actually won, So Kate
& Sarah decided to split the prize .. Now that's sportsmanship
(or sportswomanship..I dunno). Hopefully JB was keeping track
of our set list, cause we really don't remember much after the
contest (What an evening!!) The Avalon crew came down and supported,
Bob the Bartender took a break from the beach to sign up contestants
for the coveted prize, Mason and future BOTM Dear Erica were
in the building (Signing autographs in the back) and well, check
out the pics to get a better idea of the party... THE
BIG ED BUS TRIP tix are almost SOLD OUT. There
are 4 seats left.
If you haven't yet, get in touch with Laurel or one us to reserve
your seat ...This is going to be an amazing time, with a shitload
of fun and great people... Long Islands going to have no idea
what hit 'em ..hehheh. As usual, thanks for the friendships
and support, See ya on the bus ...Up The ED's!!!!!!!!!! Oh,
and by the way, NEIL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's
time for some news!!!!! In an effort to keep the website current,
we've taken down some old MP3's
and added some from the June 19th Toad's
show and one from the Playbook
show on the 26th ... "FreeBird"
was performed with 2 very special guests .. "Mean
Gene's" Dad the infamous Mr. P on vocals , and the guitar
guru Greg (SoulSpeak) on lead guitar ... you definitely want
to check that one out ... We've put the "This
Night" video back up for your viewing pleasure
...and also added "
A Chicken's Night Out "
( It's F'n hysterical !! ) Last but not least , check
out the Bus
Trip page to see if your head has been added yet
... Tix for the Bus Trip HAVE to be purchased by the 23rd ,
so make sure to get in touch with us ASAP cause missing this
one would be just damn regrettable ..hehheh ... Speaking of
the 23rd ( Yup THIS FRIDAY !! ) , we'll be having our Babe
of the Month 5 contest at Side Street , and to kick
off the festivities , will be our long time friend ( He loves
SPAM
) and comic genius Alonso . We're going to use this show
as a pre-Bus Trip party , so the forecast is calling for lots
of drinking and one helluva good time ( If you've been to the
Side Street Shows , you know what we're talking about ) And
finally , 2 VERY SPECIAL THANK YOU'S ...#1 to KEVIN at Drunks.com
for posting our show on their front page and putting up our
pics from last time ( It's an awesome site with something for
everyone so definitely check it out ) And #2 the Big ED website
builder himself JeffWinstonDATTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTcom
,Jeff has put alot time and effort in the Big ED Bus Trip promotion
and we couldn't be happier that he'll be along for the ride
( Rumor has it , he'll be filming for his next masterpiece
, so let's give him some good footage...hehheh ) So use the
messageboards
, go to Drunks.com and check out the new , edgy JeffWinston.com
... We'll see you Friday!!!!!!!!!!! |

WOW!!
All we can say is WOW!!! The impromptu Corner Pocket gig last
night turned out to be one of the most insane evenings of partying
and debauchery yet for us ED's. Now going into this gig, we
had a lot against us (2 days notice & Ozzfest to name a
few) but Dr. Phil prescribed a day of drinking in the hot sun
before the show and we figured it was all uphill from there..hehheh.
First off, before we get into the highlights of the evening,
some MAJOR thank you's ... Matt G. proprietor extraordinaire
told us we basically had free reign and to make a party of it
(He might be regretting that one today..hehheh) Matt THANK YOU
brutha, without your nod of approval the night could have taken
a major nose dive .. Chrissy, our wonderful and tolerant bartender,
how you worked under those conditions one may never know ..NEIL!!!!!!!
Do we even have to say anymore???? Patti, Sandy, Jenn, Joey
Espo & After Hours Bauers, Miss Ronnie, Marybeth, JeffWinston.com,
etc.... for spending the evening with a very blasted Big ED...
and of course our new friends Red Handed for closing out the
evening with a kick ass set. The pics will be up in a few days,
so make sure to check for them, THEY ARE OUT OF THIS WORLD ..HEHHEH
(Very nice job Lisa!) Highlights included chants of Matt, Neil
and Chrissy ... some de-pantsing, nipples galore, an extreme
amount of shots, nudity, dancing, and the chicken had one hell
of a night... You'll be hearing about this one for years to
come. Rumor has it that the after-party had it's share of moments
as well, everything from Master P riding Little P's plastic
wagon which was full of beer down his street (It's a HUGE hill)
and possibly blowing a red light with it to Bob the bartender
passing out on the beach only to wake up in the sun hours later
..We love you man! Now onto the new stuff ... Happy 1 year Anniversary
to our own Matt "John Bonham" G. and his lovely bride
"Mean" Gene the terminating machine.. You guys are
the best and much Big ED love to our fellow Edians! We're debating
on a new slogan for our T-shirts " Alcohol Driven, Rock
& Roll livin' " ...let us know what you think of this
by leaving some feedback on the message board.. Babe
of the Month is approaching
rapidly, it's back at home at Side St on the 23rd and there's
gonna be a new "spin" involved so make sure you're
there!! ...And last but definitely not least.. THE BIG ED BUS
TRIP !!!!!!!! So many awesome people are going and tickets are
running low, so PLEASE get in touch with us ASAP to reserve
your seats ... If the pics from Corner Pocket last night are
any indication of what's to transpire, you'll regret not being
part of it...And JeffWinston.com
has a new look, check it out. As always THANKS to everyone
who supports us, whether it be through shows, the website, etc..
You're keepin' the dream alive!! Up The ED's.... Bitch!! |

Kings of Rock Band Showcase" at
the Wildwood Bowl! Tix are $35 and include Roundtrip Transportation

Big ED!!! I swear, doesn't that rule!), a nice soothing sunset

ASAP as tickets are limited. Before that though, we have our
Big ED Babe of the Month 5 contest (Fri. July 23rd) at 1 of
our favorite stomping grounds, Side Street Grille in Hamden.
We have a very special suprise planned for this one (Let's just
say, the contest will never be the same again!!!) so make sure
you clear your schedule, this is going to be one for the books!
Then on Fri. August 6th, we'll be playing with the Ozzy tribute
band BELIEVER
(The singer looks just like Ozzy..hehheh)
and another of our favorite bands, Megahertz
(These guys friggin' rock!) at Corner
Pocket (Neil will be on hand, so make sure you bring a backup
liver)...But let's not get ahead of ourselves, and concentrate
on Side St. and the Long Island trip for now, both are sure
to be unforgettable times, and why not have an unforgettable
Summer with Big ED??
In the words of a legend, "We love you all!!", we'll
see you at the shows, and Keep Rockin' in the Freeworld! |

Hey
everyone in Big ED land, here we go with some more news ...
The Playbook show went really well. Check out the pics
here. Jimmy D kicked off the night w/another great
introduction (Although he wasn't there in person, he announced
us over a Nextel) It was Without
Ray's 1st performance with a new line-up (They
were supertight..you'll be hearing alot from these guys).
Freebird w/Big ED featuring Greg from SoulSpeak on lead guitar
(unf'nbelievable!!), and "Mean" Gene Bonham's Dad,
Mr. P (not to be confused w/Master P.) on lead vocals. We
also had our brother Ron Zombie jam out on "No Sleep
'til Staven" with us. He then dedicated the performance
to our friend Anthony Cretella who was taken away from us
16 years ago to the day (We miss you Ant!!) SoulSpeak did
a blistering set as usual (Thanks for doing the sound Frankie!!)
and we had another successful Babe of the Month contest. A
major shout out to Jimmy & Lisa Peek and Megan & Boz
for making extremely rare appearances..Big ED (Our Namesake)
& Momma ED for spending another great evening with us..
The Brothers Twiss for gracing us with their presence 2 nights
in a row, Angela, Michelle, Sarah, Mason & Dear Erica
(Thank God they shook the paparazzi), Cathy, and of course
Powerhouse!! The staff at Playbook (just a great bunch of
guys) and of course EVERYONE who showed up, it really means
a lot to us and we couldn't ask for better friends, family
and fans..Now onto new stuff, Big ED is entered in a Battle
of the Bands for 98.5 The Bone in Long Island. We're planning
a bus trip on July 30th. We'll keep you updated on that when
we know more. As it stands, our next show will be at Side
St in Hamden (We love this place) July 23rd, but we have other
shows on the backburner (so keep your eyes on the gig list,
when we confirm them, they'll go up) There are new Masters
of Metal 2 pics just found. Check them out here.
We also haven't heard from Ian McRock of Nasty Disaster fame
as he Pedals for Metal from East Haven to Canada..We hope
he's safely spreading the word of Metal and comes home soon
so we can attend a Nasty Disaster show. Farewell to G-Soul
after a tremendous run and best of luck on their various side
projects and other future endeavors..and as JeffWinstondddaaaaattttttt.com
would say, take it easy.... Remy's sucks!!! Up the EDs!!!!
For those interested (JB), the set list for Playbook was:
Bystander Suicide
Miss Trust
Free World
Wake Up
Life Sentence
No Sleep til Staven'
Band of Brothers
Dear Prudence

Well...well..here
we go again kids!! Lots of news today... First off, Big ED would
like to thank Jeff Winston for infiltrating the Big ED website
without authorization while we were having technical difficulties
and updating the news (See June 19th news). Who knows what other
wacky things he'll do! Go to Jeff
Winston.com and be happy....A HUGE thank you to everyone
for coming down to Toads on the 19th.. It was a big show and
you guys/girls made it possible. Special thanks to Big ED our
namesake, "little" ED, and Big Buck for making very
rare appearances, Cousin Diane for coming down from Cape Cod,
the North Branford Crew (Especially Matt, Stetson, Julie and
Eric) for coming out in droves... The Staven Crew (Especially
Mike Onofrio) who we had the pleasure of hanging out with before
the show.. Both towns truly represented in a BIG way and we're
very thankful.. Lisa took over 200 pics (that'll be up soon,
we promise) and had actually left her vacation early to make
it to the big show, Jeff Winston.com for making a rare appearance,
Auntie LiLi cause she just rules, Laurel and Mike for the..well
everything they do for us.. We love you guys.. And of course,
everyone who came to the after party.. Bob the Builder/Bartender,
April, Neil (whom after the pool incident, we truly consider
him of GOD status..hehheh, Bridget, Andrea, Michelle the Bartender,
Sarah, Caroline,etc.... (Sorry for the etc., but there were
a hell of a lot of people!!) But an extra special thanks to
Eddie & Rhonda for supplying their home as our playground
and Ron Zombie who showed up after a grueling match in Philly!
Big ED went back to their old ways at practice yesterday, and
consumed most of a 1/2 keg... In the process "Mean"
Gene & John Bonham ended singing "This Night"
(which sounded awesome), Clifford ended up chipping his tooth
on his microphone, Mike D. spilled a nasty concoction of ice
coffee/cigarettes on Master P's leg and Randy pretty much blew
out his voice singing..hehheh.. it was one for the books! Now
onto the Playbook show... This Sat. the 26th, Big ED will be
joined by our other running buddies (No.. not Nasty Disaster..
Ian McRock is LITERALLY Pedaling for Metal as he is riding his
bicycle from East Haven to Canada.. He's out of his mind!!)
Soulspeak, whom we always have a major blast with (What song
is it you wanna hear..Freeb...hehheh) and Without Ray (Scott
is actually cousins with Randy, and this will be the first time
the 2 Massey's are sharing a stage) who have a new line-up and
have been dying to play to the masses (Or Massey's..hehheh)!!
This is also the first time we'll be having our Babe of the
Month Contest out of the Side St .element, but we'll be bringing
it back home to them July 23rd. Another 1st for this Sat, since
we get to control the show, ALL LADIES GET FREE ADMISSION, This
will be nice, so the ladies can save a few bucks, and the guys
can have more ladies to ogle at.. hehheh... there is also going
to be yet another 1st, but you'll have to come to the show to
see it...if everything works out, you DON'T want to miss this.
Well there's tons more , but we need to go practice for Sat..
Thanks as always for the love and support and we'll see you
at the PlayBook!!! |

This
is Jeff Winston here updating the News for Big Ed because they
are having Technical Difficulties with their website. TOAD's
place was great on Saturday night. This was my first time seeing
them at TOAD's. They sounded great. The Ed Heads were were loving
it. They were moshing and singing along to every song. I know
I talk about about Twinkie too much, so let me continue doing
so. Their rendition of TWINKIE at the end of the show was insane.
The Moshing and Twinkie Throwning were wonderful. They went
to together like Peanut butter and Jelly. Salt and Pepper. Siegfried
and Roy. That is about it for the news today. I am updating
this without the bands permission. Until they get their computer
problems fixed I am going to do what I want with this website.
It is mine now Big Ed. By the way, Gina and Sue looked hot saturday
night. Now Go to Jeff
Winston.com be happy. Oh Yea. One last thing. REMY'S Bar
in Milford SUCKS!!!!!!!!! |

The
Master of Metal 2 \ Neil Appreciation Night was an outstanding
success due to all of our friends & fans that showed up.
As usual, we had an awesome time tearing up the Pocket. They're
are a few very special thanks that have to go out.. Mike C.
for watching the door for us, Laurel for doing too many things
to mention, Lisa for being our photographer extraordinare, Mike
"Big Daddy" Winston for doing our sound, Neil for
letting his fans appreciate him, and of course Kelly and Debbie
for joining us onstage for "Freeworld." There are
too many other people to thank, but we sincerely appreciate
everything you guys do for us. Apparently John Bonham, Zombie,
and the Wildchild had a match that evening, but can't recall
who won!! Mike D. and Randy can't recall the evening at all!!
Master P had to make a quick exit to go and answer his Dr.
Phil column, and last but not least Jimmy D had to
depart and go find a poker game! We'd like to give a major shout
out to Dearly Beloved and Remedy for kicking it up 2 notches
and of course to our Brothers Of Metal the Nasty ones themselves...Nasty
Disaster...All Metal, All the time!! Check out the pics!!
Now on to the new stuff, Toads Place Sat. June 19th looks to
be like one of the biggest shows yet for Big ED, so make sure
you get your tix or ask one of us for some. Big
ED hats are now in and the shirts should be soon
to follow. Lots of new videos on the Games
page and also a new, really addicting Golf game!
We plan on making this an awesome summer for all, so if you
have any suggestions, comments or just want to say hi, leave
a message on the message
board...C'mon don't be shy ..hehheh. Thanks for all
the support and we'll see you at the shows( or bars..whatever
happens first!) Up the EDs! |

Thanks
to everybody that came to the Webster show!!! Special thanks
to Z, Jimmy D, Eddie, Sue, Gina, the North Branford crew, Laurel,
Lisa, and our soundwoman. Lisa, once again, took some incredible
pictures. Check them out here.
After the show we went over to Up
or on the Rocks. John Bonham was issuing wrestling
challenges claiming he has a move to block the Big Elbow. I
think it was the alcohol talking. Jimmy D was asked to leave
and now has another bouncer he doesn't get along with. Speaking
of Up
or on the Rocks, we'll be playing there this Wednesday
May 26th in the Battle of the Bands. The winner of the battle
will open for a national act at either the Meadows or the Oakdale.
Hope to see you there. After that we're back at the Corner Pocket
for Masters of Metal 2 with our good friends Nasty
Disaster and Remedy. Check out pics from the first
Masters
of Metal. Check-out the gig
list to see where we'll be next. And this just in,
pics from Big ED's Babe of the Month contest have made it on
to Drunks.com!
Thanks to Kev for coming and checking out the show. As always,
thanks for the support! Up the EDs!!!

Big
ED is back!!! "We're getting the band back together!"
says banner master Jimmy D. After reconciling their differences,
the band is back and stronger than ever. "I don't know
what the hell we were thinking." said lead guitarist/songwriter
Randy
"Pops" Massey.
"But we're back and we're going to rock Toad's Place this
Friday! Thanks to everybody that stuck with us through these
trying times. Hope to see you all this Friday for the Big ED
Reunion show. Up the EDs!!!!!" |
|
April
1st, 2004
Big ED is no more. After numerous creative
differences, the band has decided to go it's separate ways.
"These guys suck" lead guitarist/songwriter Randy
"Pops" Massey said about his former band
mates. "They couldn't play lotto with a dollar and six
numbers." Randy plans to release an acoustic album in
July and to "dedicate more time to my garden" this
summer.
Dr.
Phil "Master P" Jacobs had had enough
too. "Could we play any slower?" he asked sarcastically.
"Bunch of sissies." But today is definitely yesterday's
tomorrow for The Captain. He's currently working on his new
book "I'm ok. You're ugly."
Mike "Teen Appeal" D. has started his
own hip-hop band. He was recently quoted in Tiger Beat magazine
as saying "What up cuz? It's tha Mike D-O-double Gizzle
in the hizzle. Send me your trickass lyrics and I'll traaanslate
it from the shizzle to da shiznot and lay down some fine ass
tracks, know what I'm sayin?" No we don't Mike, but good
luck.
Matt
"John Bonham" Getzewich has gone back
to Culinary School. "Cooking is what I was born to do.
Well that, and golfing. This band thing was just in the way.
They were all just anchors holding me to the bottom of the
sea of mediocrity." Matt currently has a cooking show
with his wife Gina on MNN Channel 56 in New York called "Let's
get Cookin'!"
Cliff "There's a band behind me?" Cronan
has decided to pursue his solo career. "To be honest
with you, I never even knew there was a band behind me. I
bumped into Randy on stage at Corner Pocket one night and
it scared the shit out of me!! I was like, 'Dude, what are
you doing here?'" He plans to release an album of ballads
by Christmas entitled "Love Songs - A Lifetime of Aching"
"I'm dedicating it to all the bitches" he said.
Jimmy "What's up F**kers?" D. plans on
keeping the Big ED name alive. "At the end there, I was
the only one showing up for practices. Big ED quit with a
bunch of commitments to play places and I plan on honoring
those commitments." When asked how he plans to do that
he was quoted as saying, "What do mean, how am I going
to do it? I'm Jimmy D bitch!!"
Laurel "Everybody get naked" Caprio plans
on using the Big ED name for merchandising. "I'm knee-deep
in Big ED thongs over here!" she was quoted as saying.
Laurel wisely had Big ED sign all merchandising/song rights
over to her at a drunken Toad's show one night. "I kept
telling them to copyright those songs. Maybe now they'll listen!"
The band would like to thank everybody who supported them
and this website.

The Remy's show in Milford has been cancelled
due to the inept and incompetent behaivor of the manager there.
Jeanne, the business genius, left a voice mail cancelling the
show 5 days before. When attempts were made to reach her to
discuss the matter, she refused to answer the phone. This show
was booked for over a month and a lot of time by Big ED and
Nasty Disaster was spent promoting it. Ron Zombie from Nasty
Disaster promoted it on WCCC, 100's of flyers were handed out
at the ACW Wrestling event in New Britain on Sunday, internet
promotion, word of mouth...etc. A lot of people were going to
this bar in Milford that they most likely would have never went
to. So not only was it bad business and rude, it was just plain
stupid. Feel free to boycott them. Or call them at (203)783-3906
and let them know how you feel. I'm sure they would love
to hear from you! Remys
bar in Milford, CT sucks! Up

There's
a new Babe of the Month!!! Congrats to Karen on winning Babe
of the Month with some unbelievable competition. Michelle, Lisa,
and Melanie you all were awesome!!! Thanks for being so cool
and making the whole thing so much fun. Major props to Greg
and Frank from Soul Speak. Frank, you did an awesome job with
the sound. We've heard nothing but great feedback about it.
And Greg as always, you kicked major ass. The energy you bring
to those Skynyrd songs would make Ronnie VanZant himself proud.
Thanks for jamming with us. Thanks to Mugshot Miltia for helping
to rock the house at Side Street. You guys kicked ass, we'll
see you at the Pocket. Thanks to Lisa and Kim for taking pictures.
You guys are the best. The pics will be up soon. And thanks

fun as we had!! There are some new videos on the Games

Thanks to everybody that came down to Toad's on Saturday and
stuck with us until 2 AM!! You guys rock and we appreciate it.
So much so, that we're having Fan Appreciation Night this Saturday
2/28 at Remy's in Milford. This is a very cool bar we just found
with a great atmosphere and very reasonable drink prices. It's
definitely worth checking out. Check out the Toad's pics
here. We're playing this Thursday 2/26 at the Corner
Pocket
at 9 PM for College Night. And on Friday 2/27, we're playing
the Playbook
Sports Bar & Grille in North Haven with our good
friends Soul Speak. We've been working with Greg, who is the
guitar player from Soul Speak and we have worked up a ripping
rendition of a classic song that you have to see to believe.
We've also been working on two new songs. One of them, "Bystander
Suicide" will be unveiled Saturday at Remy's. Jimmy D.
and Emily joined Cubby for the Penguin Plunge on Saturday. They
jumped into Long Island Sound where the temperature was a balmy
34.5 degrees to raise money for the Special Olympics. Nice work
guys, we're proud of you. Check out the pics here.
There are some additional pics and a video of the Penguin Plunge
on JeffWinston.com.
Happy belated birthdays to Joey T. from 'Staven and Killer Kev!
And last but not least, there is a new Games
